Been a while since I last posted here- This is an underpainting which I started based on a bust of Beethoven- 14 x11" oil on canvas board-prior to this I'd done a value study in pencil on paper- the familiarity ofthe subject matter allowed me to paint this in about 3-4 hours in one shot. I'll refine it in the next stage after this is totally dried

Planet Comics cover -this is an interpretive drawing and painting commission based heavily an old scifi comic cover from the 1940-1953- I wish I could find the exact cover it was based on- if anyone knows, please let me know and I'll post it her. They were all basically futuristic damsels in distress with some monster

Female head- done in Photoshop for practice- painted directly with a chalk brush in a bit over an hour's time. I find painting heads digitally to be a good way for me to practice painting without having to deal with physical material (canvas, palettes, etc) and clean up- Besides, this isn't exactly the kind of thing to market- I've got shelves of head practices in oils that just sit around my attic
